The Campsite is a short point-and-click adventure game, inspired by and crafted in the style of early genre classics, and adapted for a modern-day experience.
If you have a passion for graphic adventures but never find the time to play, this might be exactly what you’re looking for.
With about 60 minutes of gameplay, a simplified UI, and no dialogue trees, it is an excellent choice for casual players. It can be played anytime, alone or with others, and is suitable for all ages.

This game just screams that is was made with love and I'm all for it. The premise is simple but gets you interested and it the puzzles make sense and well thought-out. Would like to see a sequel where they are older and go for a 'real' treasure hunt.

Just finished! this is a great little game and i highly enjoyed the characters and story! really enjoyed the mystery and puzzle solving. reminds me of Darkside Detective with the humor and cozy graphics! keep up the great work!

I must say, that I really like the concept and the art of this game. It has lots of potential! Also though, I have a few notes... its not ideal, that one cant click through the dialogue but that its a scene. Sometimes for that reason one misses clues etc and cant skip over things that we already read. The dialogue at the end is a bit long for my taste aswell. But I'd love to play a longer version of the game overall. :)
Glad you like the concept and the art! 🙂 Just to clarify, you can skip dialogue lines by clicking the mouse or pressing the period key on the keyboard. There’s also an option to adjust subtitle speed in the game menu if that helps! That said, I really appreciate your feedback. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts! 🙌
UUHH thank you! I figured the clicking but didnt know about the speed of the text. thank you :) maybe, if not too much, you can add that the text stops after the sentence and then one has to click to continue the convo. but I also understand that this might be personal preferance. You’re welcome! I totally get your point, it would definitely make the dialogue more accessible. I chose to follow the classic Lucasfilm adventure style, which has its pros and cons. One thing I like about this system is that it allows the dialogue to sync with the music (at the default speed), which would be harder to achieve if the text stopped after each sentence. I also feel it makes conversations flow more naturally. But I like the other approach too… maybe in a future game! :)

Will the game have translations into other languages?
Yes! A Spanish version will be released soon, along with Catalan. More languages will follow after that.

Hello! I just finished your game and I love it, I will recommend it to my friends and also sent you a little donation.
The pixel art is beautiful, I wanted to play just by seeing it, and I felt somehow it was a nice experience, mentioning that was "short" convinced me, and the vibes of the game are great, a shot of nostalgia and an innocent illusion for life, between other things.
Also, I loved the final message, before that I planned to finish and move to another thing, but after seeing that I wanted to donate and recommend to my friends.
If you are interested, I wrote a document with my feedback, I didn't put it here because I am new in itch.io and I don't know about the rules of spoilers in the comments and that stuff, so just in case I will just save it for myself and send it to you directly if you want it.

Wasn't able to get the Linux version to work :( it showed the Unity splash screen and then just went black :(
Hi! Thanks for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear the Linux version isn’t working for you. While I’m not a Linux user myself, I tested the game on an Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS image running from a USB stick on a 2012 MacBook Pro. Despite the older hardware and running Linux from a USB, the game worked smoothly. Additionally, other Linux users, like @fredbezies74, have reported that the game runs flawlessly on Arch Linux (you can see their comment below).
Unfortunately, since Linux is a bit of uncharted territory for me, I’m not sure how to assist further. Perhaps other Linux users might be able to help shed some light on the issue.
If you manage to get it working, please let me know! I’d be happy to compile any troubleshooting tips for future players who encounter similar issues.

And sorry for the little issue with the walkie-talkie. Sometimes the game behaves strangely when running alongside other apps, like video recording, etc., but I’m so glad to see you managed to fix it fast :)

Great game. Played it flawlessly on my Archlinux. The only annoying point was the code puzzle.
It took me around one hour to finish it. As I loved point'n'click, this one was a real pleasure to play.
Can't wait to see another game from you.

The code puzzle was hard but not that hard. I faced puzzles like this one and far more harder to solve.
